Roasted Pumpkin and Carrot Soup

Recently i won the giveaway at Raven's Cook Eat Delicious for my Pumpkin and Chocolate Chip Cookies. I won a cookbook called " Pumpkin - A Super Food for all the 12 Months of the Year " by DeeDee Stovel. The book has pumpkin recipes for starters, soups, salads, maincourse, bread, pies, cakes, cookies and desserts. Very nice book with lots of recipes with fresh and canned pumpkin. I made the roasted carrot and pumpkin soup. The soup was tasty and good, loved it. Here is the recipe.

Abstract
Trader Vic's is a Polynesian restaurant which has good comfortable ambience with nice selection of food and a great place to enjoy cocktails and refresh the mood. It has a perfect setting for weekend gateways with friends and family, however avoid the disappoinment if you are in hungry and want to try some fast food and also for the people those who scout for Indian food this is not recommended.

A spicy and flavourful curry recipe with cauliflower. This cauliflower curry is flavoured with spices like coriander, cinnamon, cloves, pepper etc... and adding coconut milk also gives a wonderful flavour which thickens the gravy and gives a mild sweet taste to it. I simply love the coriander flavour in this curry and this recipe goes well with any rice pulao and rotis.

I wanted to cook something light and healthy meal for lunch after having a heavy breakfast.....so I decided to toss some rice with vegetables. Then i looked into my fridge... there was leftover broccoli florets after making some broccoli stuffed paratha. Then i decided to do broccoli rice. I know it is difficult to eat this veggie...hence i chopped them very finely and also added some green peas to it. This is a quick and healthy lunch box idea. Serve with your favourite side dish and raitha.

A simple and easy cookie recipe with whole wheat flour. My neighbour asked me a cookie recipe with whole wheat flour and without baking soda....I thought first i would try myself and tell her the recipe bcos i'm not sure how the output will be, with wheat flour. To my surprise it came out crispy and perfect cookies. I gave my neighbour friend some cookies along with the recipe... she was very happy... i hope now she can bake some healthy cookies for her daughter by herself. Try this cookie recipe that satisfies a sweet tooth with a little less guilt.
