Thank You for 5 YEARS of Barefeet In The Kitchen!

Hi friends! Five years ago today, I hit publish on my very first blog post. The recipe was for Italian Vegetable Soup and at that time, I barely even knew what a blog was. I just wanted an easy way to share a few favorite family recipes with my family. As it turns out, Barefeet In The Kitchen has become a fun way to share recipes with people all over the world.

Blogging has changed our lives in so many ways, and I have you awesome readers to thank for so much of that! Who knew that I'd spend the next five years connecting with countless new friends online and learning to cook so many amazing foods?! There are almost 1400 recipes on this website now and we've cooked and eaten every single one of them.
